“Tum
se hi”
I think this song holds a special place in everyone’s heart who found love when they least expected it, just like Aditya found Geet. Life is unpredictable and funny, you see! You never know when it strikes. You meet that one person and in the blink of an eye, it clicks. Your chaotic mind find peace and your heart whispers silently “This is the home you have been longing for”. But you two part your ways owing to circumstances of life. You see, every happy story doesn’t have a happy ending. So all you have to do, is, let this person go. And there starts your journey! You find memories of these happy times everywhere. The simplest of the things bring this person to your mind, like, a pale blue sky, a gentle breeze, a still water or even a cloud storm in the horizon. You remember everything they said to you, every life advice, even the tiniest of bits! And you try to follow them. “Tera na hona jaanei kyu hona hi hai”. It’s like that person is not your life, but still there. Their thought never leaves your mind. In any difficult situation you remember that person and think “What would you have done” and you do that. “Tum se hi din hota hai, surmayee shaam aati hai”. After being surrounded by people, you feel that void. “Shore main khamoshi hai, thodi si behoshi hai, tum se hi!” Yet you find solace in the fact that this person came to your life, and made you understand what love actually is. That’s the thing about love, you see; it shapes you even in its absence!!
