The dots will always join !
What’s better way of spending a lazy winter weekend other than with a bowl of popcorn and Netflix !
I know, it is not winter yet for most
of the places. But this part of the city is quite chilly even on the very onset
of November.
While scrolling through Netflix,
I somehow recalled about ‘The secret life of Walter Mitty’ !
The secret life of Walter Mitty !
I
have always heard about this movie, especially for its picturesque cinematography.
Got many reviews and suggestions from friends, and random pages when you search
for “inspirational movies”! (Let’s be real, all of us have those days when we
actually google for “inspirational movies”!).
Walter
Mitty is just another nonexistent person that people comes across in everyday
mundane life. The kind that works hard, yet never gets noticed, who daydreams
about things he always wants to do but has never done slash never had the guts
to do (Don’t lie, we have all been there). One day Walter Mitty’s life took a
three sixty degree spin when he lost one of the photographs he had to submit
for the cover of the last issue of the magazine he was working for. Following
the trail of the photo, he set his foot on an unexpected journey. It took him
to places; from the dazzling ice sheets of Greenland to soaring volcanoes of
Iceland; skating by the scenic countryside to climbing to the highest highs of
the Himalayas. And, in this course of journey, he seems to found himself.
It’s so important to have a purpose in life. Something, to work towards.
At the end, Mitty could track
down the photographer and found the photo, which ironically was inside his own
wallet. Well, you see, sometimes things are there right in front of our eyes,
and we go round and round to look for it.
“So for a while things were cold,
They were scared down their holes
The forest that once was green
Was coloured black by those
killing machines
But she and her furry friends
Took down the Queen bee and her
men
And that’s how the story goes
The story of the beast with those dirty paws.”
So, let’s not get blued if the sky is smoky, for the nonce, or if the aisle is hazy. Remember,
People always find where they belong.
The dots always join.
Things always fall in place.
Quoting the favorites from Of Monsters and Men,
“Through the never ending maze,
where the way is seldom clear
If there’s no map or compass near,
drive a ship back in the steer.
Through the bleak and early morn, where a stronger will sworn”.
